Appraiser Trainee Education
The following courses satisfy education requirements to become an Appraiser Trainee. You may purchase and attend each course individually or at a package price of $1,195.
  • Basic Appraisal Principles (30 hours)
    Basic Appraisal Principles is the initial course to be completed to begin your career as a real property appraiser. Successful completion of this course contributes 30 hours of education credit towards qualifying as a trainee appraiser.
  • Basic Appraisal Procedures (30 hours)
    Basic Appraisal Procedures is the second course to be completed to begin your career as a real property appraiser. Successful completion of this course contributes 30 hours of education credit towards qualifying as a trainee appraiser.
  • Residential Report Writing
    Including Roles/Responsibilities of Supervisors and Trainees (30 hours)
    Our Residential Report Writing Course satisfies 15 hours towards earning your State Certified Residential Appraiser credential.
  • National USPAP (15 hours)
    The 15-Hour National USPAP Course must be completed to qualify as a Trainee, Certified Residential or Certified General Appraiser.
Appraiser Trainee Post Licensing
The following courses satisfy requirements for post licensing education for Trainee Appraisers.
  • Residential Sales Comparison and Income Approach (30 hours)
    Our Residential Sales Comparison and Income Approaches Course satisfies 30 hours of precertification education for State Certified Residential Appraiser applicants. Completion of this course is also required to satisfy post-licensing education requirements for trainee appraisers.
  • National USPAP (15 hours)
    The 15-Hour National USPAP Course must be completed to qualify as a Trainee, Certified Residential or Certified General Appraiser.

Certified Residential Appraiser Education
All of the education required for trainee plus the following courses satisfy education requirements to become a Certified Residential Appraiser.
  • Residential Report Writing (15 hours)
    Our Residential Report Writing Course satisfies 15 hours towards earning your State Certified Residential Appraiser credential.
  • Residential Sales Comparison and Income Approach (30 hours)
    Our Residential Sales Comparison and Income Approaches Course satisfies 30 hours of precertification education for State Certified Residential Appraiser applicants. Completion of this course is also required to satisfy post-licensing education requirements for trainee appraisers.
  • Residential Site Valuation and Cost Approach (15 hours)
    Our Residential Site Valuation and Cost Approach Course satisfies 15 hours of precertification education for State Certified Residential Appraiser applicants.
  • Statistics, Modeling, and Finance (15 hours)
    Statistics, Modeling, Finance satisfies 15 hours of education for qualifying as a State Certified Residential Appraiser.
  • Market Analysis and Highest and Best Use (15 hours)
    Market Analysis and Highest and Best Use satisfies 15 hours of precertification education toward Certification as a Residential Appraiser.
  • Advanced Residential Applications and Case Studies (15 hours)
    Advanced Residential Applications and Case Studies satisfies 15 hours of qualifying education for State Certified Residential Appraiser Applicants.
  • National USPAP (15 hours)
    The 15-Hour National USPAP Course must be completed to qualify as a Trainee, Certified Residential or Certified General Appraiser.

Certified General Appraiser Education
All of the education required for trainee plus the following courses:
  • Appraisal Board Course III (60 hours)
    Appraisal Board Course III covers the basics of non-residential real property appraisal.
  • National USPAP (15 hours)
    The 15-Hour National USPAP Course must be completed to qualify as a Trainee, Certified Residential or Certified General Appraiser.
